Salem Oregon Real Estate and Places to Eat in Salem-Amadeus Cafe

Salem Oregon Real Estate and Places to Eat in Salem, Oregon–Amadeus Cafe Community Tips from your Salem Oregon Real Estate Agent I recently discovered a fantastic place for lunch, Amadeus Cafe. Although Amadeus Cafe is not new to Salem, somehow I missed this one for several years.   The Amadeus Cafe previously was located in the City Hall/Salem Library buildings.  More recently they opened a new expanded restaurant at 5121 Skyline Village Loop, Ste 190 in South Salem. My first experience with eating at Amadeus Cafe was with some fellow Salem Oregon Real Estate colleagues.  The minute I walked in the door, I was impressed.  The interior design is elegant and relaxing at the same time.  You can view the interior pictures of Amadeus on their website. My choice that day was the Le Macaroni and Cheese which was recommended to me by several people who have eaten there.  This was no ordinary macaroni and cheese.  It has a collection of Smoked Gouda, Cheddar, Parmesan and Jack cheeses.  You can choose to add sausage or bacon to the dish if you wish, but I went with just the basic and it far exceeded my expectations.  I also tried the Mushroom Sandwich and the Spartan Salad.  Both were good choices also.   On my next visit I had the Hot Corned Beef and that has become my favorite lunch treat when dining at the Amadeus. If you would like to know more about the menu at Amadeus, and see photos of their lunch and dinner selections, you can do so by visiting their website.  They also have famous homemade desserts...

Wine and More in Lincoln City on the Oregon Coast-C & J Boutique

The beautiful Oregon Coast is just a short 1 hour drive from Salem, Oregon.  We love to take mini vacations to Lincoln City.  On one of our recent trips, we discovered a new place to hang out, do some wine tasting and even enjoy a bottle of wine and snacks.   Our discovery was a quaint little establishment called C & J Boutique located at 3203 SW HWY 101. C & J Boutique also has fine cigars, gourmet sauces and cheeses, and other great gifts.  There is a cigar room, and a separate room to enjoy a glass or bottle of wine with snacks.  We recommend the cheese platter and the Swiss and Onion dip to go with your wine.  The tables in the wine room even come complete with a deck of cards for some light entertainment. So, the next time you are in Lincoln City and looking for somewhere to enjoy some wine, snacks and a little break, stop in and check the Boutique...
